The principal sectors in which we work are listed below

Regional and Local Development

A long-standing area of activity with a large n umber of regional plans and local investment and development programmes prepared and evaluated. Clients include regional organisations, local authorities and central bodies.

Agriculture and Rural Development

Very extensive experience, including EU funding and LEADER Programmes. Clients include the European Commission, Dept of Agriculture and Food, Coillte, Bord na Mona, and regional and local authorities

Education, Training and Human Resources

Policy studies, impact assessments and funding programme evaluations for national Government Departments and agencies including HEA, SOLAS and Pobal.

Travel, Tourism and Leisure

Market research studies, strategic project identification and appraisal, and national and regional investment monitoring and evaluation. Clients include Government Departments, Fáilte Ireland and industry trade associations, county councils.

Marine, Natural Resources, Environment

Policy studies and project and progamme evaluations in such areas as marine tourism, EU fisheries investment, waste recycling markets, and alternative crops.

Enterprise Development, Competitiveness, and SMEs

Policy analysis and programme evaluation of a wide range of enterprise development schemes and issues in both Ireland and ew EU Member States.. Also extensive work on research and industry/university links.

Public Service Modernisation

A range of public service issues in Ireland including public service pay levels and mechanisms, greater public service integration, customer orientation of public services, service regionalisation, and service efficiency and value-for-money generally.

International Development Co-operation

This includes projects for international agencies, for non-governmental organisations and for Ireland’s development co-operation programme in a variety of developing countries including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, Vietnam, Myanmar

EU Funding Programmes

This refers to our close involvement in EU Structural and Investment funds programming in Ireland, in other Member States and at EU-wide level. Our work spans r the five funding rounds to date (1989-99, 1994-99, 2000-06, 2007-13), the current 2014-20 period, and the prospective 2021-28 period.
